Beaches of Goa and scenic Rajasthan

From 1400 eur

The mixture of various landscapes, colours, sounds, smells and flavours of Rajasthan enriched by the paradise-like beaches of Goa.

Rajasthan intrudes on your senses all at once with its bewildering array of colourful saris, marble palaces, the Taj Mahal and sacred cows roaming the streets. The jangling  of  Hindu women’s bracelets, Bollywood music, the sheer colourful, vibrant chaos make it a little hard to find your way among all those sounds. Add the aromas of spices, street food and masala chai to the mix and you have all the ingredients for an unforgettable experience. After a week of soaking up the true vibe of Indian cities there comes the time to relax in a bamboo bungalow in heavenly Goa –  sit back on the white sand, enjoy the shade of palm trees and contemplate the endless Indian Ocean.

Travel plan

Flight from Europe to New Delhi.

New Delhi

Mapa Impreza Zabytki

A personal driver will be at your disposal during your whole stay in Rajasthan – starting from pick up at the airport and bringing you to the hotel in the centre of New Delhi. The city has been the heart of the Indian subcontinent for centuries, and visitors (idea here: quotes from poets, writers? Eg, here: Rudyard Kipling) are invariably enraptured by its urban and cultural heritage. Your personal guide will not only introduce you to the most important historical sites, but also give you an insight onto the hidden nooks and crannies of the city. In the evening, take a rickshaw ride through the crooked streets of the old town.

Agra - Taj Mahal

Mapa Zabytki

Agra is a city of legends. From the 15th century on, it has been the centre of art, culture and science. However, it owes its real fame to the Taj Mahal, which literally takes your breath away. The story of this unique site is also exceptional: it was built as a mausoleum for the beloved wife of a Mughal emperor. Around 20,000 workers were employed for its construction and 1,000 elephants for transporting the tonnes of marble from a quarry 300-kilometres away. The result of their work now fascinates millions of visitors from around the world.

The Pink City of Jaipur

Today your driver will take you to Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, located in the desert. On the way visit also Fatehpur Sikri, an abandoned desert city constructed from red sandstone. Because of its plethora of palaces, temples and mansions built from pink marble or sandstone, Jaipur was called “The Pink City”. The view of the sun going down over Jaipur with the endless desert in the background is truly unforgettable! The driver will also take you to Amber, the ancient capital of Rajasthan. Conquer it on the back of an elephant, a truly unique experience.

The paradise of Goa

Leżak Mapa Impreza Zabytki Snorkeling

Goa is a very special place not only thanks to its beautiful beaches lapped by the warm waters of the Arabian Sea and coconut palms but it is also culturally vastly different to the rest of India. It used to be a Portuguese colony so the Iberian influence is clearly noticeable in the local architecture, cuisine and the penchant for partying!

If you don’t feel like sightseeing around Portuguese churches, Goa is obviously a perfect destination for winding down underneath the palm trees, playing beach volleyball or going to a beach party, trying the excellent tiger prawns and, last but definitely not least, soaking in the stupendous sunsets on the coast of the Arabian Sea.

The above travel plan is just an example of what you might expect when travelling with Planet Escape. We tailor each travel plan to the individual client’s needs and we carefully select the right beach, accommodation, activities and the length of stay to suit your individual requirements.

New Delhi & Rajasthan

When choosing hotels in New Delhi, Jaipur and Agra we place emphasis on convenience, tidiness and location. Considering that you will be spending entire days sightseeing in the open air, our offer does not consist of luxurious resorts, but clean and enjoyable places to have a good rest. They are situated at the heart of the action, close to the excellent local restaurants and other attractions.

To list all of the resort’s attractions would take quite some time, but let's start by mentioning that your cosy eco-bungalows are situated in the middle of lush green gardens, two minutes’ walk from the coastline. This also means you'll be very close to the beach bars and restaurants, but not close enough for them to disturb your rest in any way. Peace, silence and relaxation are things you don’t have to worry about in Goa! Particularly worth recommending is your hotel restaurant; all of the meals is cooked only from the freshest local products. The resort has its own chicken farm and grows its own rice so you know exactly what you're getting on your plate. The restaurant even makes its own mango marmalade from the fruit picked in the garden!

Indian cuisine can be summed up in three words: flavoursome, aromatic and colourful. Each meal is a sensual experience of an intensity difficult to imagine until you try. A must-try is thali – a set of 10-20 small dishes served in tiny bowls (second helpings are free!) and dosy –  a large, slender pancake stuffed with spicy potatoes. Also, don't  miss out on a tandoori, a meat dish marinated with spices and roasted in an earthenware stove. We'll also provide you with a more detailed cuisine guide in the Escape Book you get before your trip.
